Weekly Greeting - June 19, 2026
Our church family has experienced so much loss over the last few weeks.
In addition to church members and friends of the church who have passed on to the arms of Jesus, so many of you are also facing personal losses that few know about.
And so I simply want to offer this reminder: God is faithful. One of the gifts of being present with families in the midst of grief is watching the ways that they experience God’s faithfulness. Sometimes God demonstrates his faithfulness by surrounding us with friends and family to prop us up in the middle of tragedy. Sometimes God demonstrates his faithfulness by showing mercy to our loved ones when they are ready to be released from this life to the next.
Our grief is real and we should never try to minimize it, but if we are paying attention we will also experience God reaching out to us — often in ways that we would never expect.
God is faithful and for that we offer our gratitude — to the great God of heaven who has won our victory, now and in the life to come.
