Weekly Greeting - June 5, 2026

Annual Conference is right around the corner!‍‍ ‍

In Methodist-speak, Annual Conference is the yearly gathering in which United Methodist delegates — an equal number of laypeople and clergy — meet for worship, fellowship, and conducting the business of the conference.  (Think of it as our church’s Charge Conference, but for the whole Tennessee-Western Kentucky area).‍‍ ‍

This year we will gather at Murfreesboro First United Methodist church from June 7-10.  If you aren’t able to attend in person, you are welcome to join virtually via the conference livestream.  You can get all the information you need about Annual Conference, including the link to the livestream, here: https://twkumc.org/ac2026/‍ ‍

Worship services at Annual Conference are always a beautiful gift of the Holy Spirit, so if you don’t tune in to any other part of the conference, I encourage you to consider worshiping virtually with us.  I especially love the Service of Licensing, Commissioning, and Ordination, which is scheduled this year for Tuesday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m.‍‍ ‍

Please pray for our Bishop and our delegates as we prepare for and engage in holy conferencing next week!‍‍ ‍
