    Dear Parents,

We’ll continue with our regular schedule this week with Sunday School and Youth Group. Sunday School will begin a new series on The Wilderness as we journey from Exodus to Deuteronomy. The Israelites’ wilderness journey was one filled with mishaps, doubts, fears, complaints and rebellion. Yet God remained with them, guiding them with His presence, miraculous deeds, outpouring of mercies, and corrective discipline. Through this journey, they learned vital lessons that prepared them to live as God’s people in the Promised Land.

Youth group resumes with dinner, a BIG surprise, new game and continued series on Dreams. Next week (May 3) is our second annual Bethlehem Trivia Night to support youth outreach and missions! We’d love for our parents to create a team and play. Suggested donation is $15/person and includes live trivia, pizza and snacks. Register here: https://forms.gle/JxRiPeRmfWXpZPgg7

Hinton will be here soon! This trip (June 21-26) is open to youth as young as 12 years old (younger youth may participate if a parent is serving on the team) through 18 years old. Cost is $375 per participant. We are also in need of at least two parent/adult chaperones for this trip. We especially need ONE ADULT experienced with power tools and basic construction projects (such as building steps, decks, etc.). All fees are covered for parent/adult chaperones. • May Communion Offering

The communion offering on May 3 will be directed to Project Transformation.  This daytime summer learning program is supported by the United Methodist Church.  The program is led by college-age young adults who serve as interns.  Bethlehem volunteers tutor and read with children who participate in Project Transformation.  Bethlehem members also provide dinner for the interns throughout the summer as well as snacks and books for the children.  Money collected from the communion offering will help cover the cost of books, snacks and supplies needed for the intern dinners.  You may bring your offering to the altar rail during communion or donate online and designate for Project Transformation.

    Monthly Mission

The next monthly mission will be Sunday, May 10, when we will collect peanut butter and jelly.  Please plan to bring your peanut butter and jelly to the altar during the designated time during the worship service.
