Weekly Greeting - August 8, 2025
What a fun few weeks these have been!
From the Fish Fry, to packing backpacks for our neighbors, to the Limitless Concert Series, to the awesome Stay and Play last Sunday, it has truly been a gift to be with you and to get to know you!
This Saturday morning, Rev. Mary Beth Hagan will be facilitating a time of Onboarding with our Church Council and other members of our administrative teams. Over the past several years many United Methodist bishops have encouraged onboarding in their conferences. Claire Bowen, a corporate HR professional and lifelong United Methodist, adapted the onboarding process from the corporate world to make it a strategic tool for pastors and their congregations who are beginning a new relationship.
Beginning this Sunday, August 10, I will be visiting a different Sunday School class each week. I hope this will give us the opportunity to get to know each other better. I am excited to hear your stories, and want to be able to answer any questions you may have for me!
On August 17 we will begin a new sermon series called “At the Table.” Barbara Bullard will be leading the Children’s Moment that morning, sharing the symbols and the meanings behind the beautiful mosaic that she helped us to create during the Fish Fry!
And of course you’ll want to be present this Sunday for our final guest artist of the Limitless Concert Series. Jack Greer will join us for “Take it to the Limit,” and you won’t want to miss it!
I am grateful for all of you and for this chance to share ministry with this congregation!
Mary Beth
