Weekly Greeting - November 28, 2025

Can you believe that Advent is already here?

Our Advent theme this year is

and it begins by reminding us that Mary, the mother of Jesus, wrapped her baby — the King of Heaven — in cloths and laid him in a feeding trough in a city called Bethlehem, which means House of Bread.

It is a reminder that from the moment of his birth and through every moment after, Jesus came to fill our hunger.  Sometimes our hunger is for actual food, and sometimes we hunger for other things — acceptance, forgiveness, and hope.  Jesus came for all of it.  And on the last day of his life he did truly give himself as food — his body to feed our hunger and his blood to make us whole again.

I hope that you will make church during Advent a priority as we prepare for the birth of Jesus who came to give himself to fill all of us with good things.

In anticipation,

Mary Beth
