Weekly Greeting - October 24, 2025

My confession to you is that while Bethlehem UMC was worshiping together last Sunday, October 19, I was sharing bagels and cream cheese with my family on a bench in Morningside Heights.

BUT the first thing that I did on Monday morning was sit down at my desk and watch the service.

All I can say is, WOW!

And if the service was that powerful when replayed on a Monday morning, I can’t imagine what the experience in the Sanctuary must have been.

My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who put their heart and soul into the service, and who let the Holy Spirit work through you.  And it isn’t just those who stood up front and made the service so powerful — everyone in the sanctuary last Sunday was an active participant in worship!  You received the words and the message of those who gave their testimonies, and you allowed those words and messages to form and transform you.

I am so grateful to be part of such an amazing, loving, giving, faithful congregation, and my prayer is that we will continue sharing our stories with each other and with our neighbors about the transformational, redemptive love of God in Christ.

In the love of Christ,

Mary Beth
