Prison Ministry

Bethlehem UMC provides needed supplies for inmates at Riverbend Maximum Security Institute every Christmas.  Church members have helped purchase dictionaries and notebook paper.  The BUMC staff distributed these gifts to the inmates with volunteers from other churches.  Next year, we want to invite others to join us in the distribution.  We encourage anyone interested in further involvement in prison ministry to contact Janet Wolf with the Inside-Out Program or the Reconciliation Ministries who look for volunteers to work with inmates and their families on the outside.  Contact the church office if you are interested in any of these prison outreach opportunities.
