Stewardship
Christian Stewardship is...
- Everything you do after you say yes to Jesus Christ.
- The management of God's household.
- The way we manage our entire lives, our gifts and talents, our resources and our time and our energy.
- Our whole life response to God.
- Relational.
- Rooted in God's love.
- The affirmation of God's ownership of our possessions, which are really a trust from God.
- The celebration of God's partnership with us.
- A means of helping us discover meaning for our lives.
- The church's focus on people, not money.
- Everything you do after you say yes to Jesus Christ.
We are each a steward of some kind. No one can escape being a steward of God’s possessions. This includes:
- Our worship of God.
- Our handling of money and other resources.
- Our treatment of other people.
Whether you give of your time, your talent, or your resources, all giving should be done in love and with a thankful heart, recognizing that God is the owner of everything in your life.

Areas of Stewardship
God
“The Earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it.” Psalm 24:1
Time
Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil”
Ephesians 5:15-16
Talents
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.”
I Corinthians 12:4
Money/Possessions
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and seal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:19-21
Health
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God with your body.”
I Corinthians 6:19-20
Community
“For I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me...Truly I tell you, just as you did it to the least of these who are members of my family, you did it unto me.”
Matthew 25:35, 40
Earth
“Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.”
