Growing as Christians... Reaching Out to Others

Congregational Care & Healing

Purpose and Mission
The mission and purpose of the Church, the body of Christ, is to reach out in care and concern for persons in the name and spirit of the resurrected Christ. To do so, brings us face to face with both the hurts and hopes of people, both young and old. The Congregational Care and Healing ministries of Bethlehem United Methodist Church exist for the purpose of touching people’s lives with the love and gospel of Christ at their point of need, offering hope and healing in the name of Christ. In this brochure you will find information regarding the many opportunities for both lay persons and clergy to care for others in the love of Christ.

Community CPR and Bloodmobile
Classes on adult and infant CPR are conducted annually for church and community leaders. Bloodmobile drives are conducted at the church on a quarterly basis. Both ministries are coordinated with the American Red Cross.

Pastoral Hospital Visitation
Hospital visitation is conducted by our staff each week. If you or someone you know who is a member or friend of Bethlehem Church is hospitalized, please forward that information to the church office at 794-6721 so that appropriate pastoral responses can be made.

Prayer Chain
A dedicated group of individuals dedicate themselves to lifting persons with special needs or concerns up in prayer each day. Members of the prayer chain contact each other to pass on messages and requests for prayer as they are made known. If you have a confidential prayer request, contact Dotty Tyson at 790-1404.

If you would like for the pastor to be made aware of your prayer concern(s), contact the church office at 794-6721.

Spiritual Guidance and Direction
Spiritual guidance and direction are available through the pastor of Bethlehem Church. Pastor Ryan Bennett is available upon your request for prayer and conversation regarding any matter you may be facing. He can be reached by contacting the church office at 794-6721 or by email at .

Tape Ministry
Volunteers deliver tapes of our weekly Sunday service to shut-ins and friends of the congregation who are unable to attend the service.
