Growing as Christians... Reaching Out to Others
|
|
Opportunities for AdultsThere are a variety of opportunities for adults of all ages to grow in the faith, enjoy fellowship with others and serve Christ as they serve others in the community. They are:
The annual Bethlehem Fish Fry is a Williamson County tradition for over 30 years. Over 3,000 people make a point to save the third Friday in July to enjoy good food and good friends. The Bethlehem family joins together to provide hospitality to the community. In addition to serving fresh catfish with all the fixins', there is a live and silent auction, book booth, children's games and great music. This is a day that Bethlehem shines!
Each spring the men of Bethlehem Church sponsor and hold a HUGE garage sale to benefit the work of Feed America First. Remember, one person’s junk is another person’s treasure!
Family Events
Several events are planned and held each year specifically for the purpose of providing fun and fellowship for individual families through the church family. From special dinners to canoe trips to caroling every Christmas – there’s something for everyone!
Library Workers
The church library provides another place for avid readers. Our library committee recently revitalized our church library, so you’ll find a lot of “good reads” there!
Promise Keepers
Promise Keepers annual conference schedule often includes dates in or near Nashville (cities such as Louisville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Atlanta). More information on PK can be found at www.promisekeepers.org.
Sports and Recreation
A variety of sports teams and events can be found at Bethlehem Church which provides a great opportunity for fun and fellowship. They include:
Contact David Wolf at 794-6844 for softball and Sonny Woodruff at 646-8703 for golf.
The Garden
Gifted gardeners maintain the gardens and flowerbeds across our church campus. If you love rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty this may be the ministry for you!
Ushering
Ushers are needed for both Sunday services to welcome our members and guests, distribute bulletins, assist with seating, collect the offering, and guide folks as they take Holly Communion. If you are willing to help, contact Doreen Gunn or Mike Loring at 794-6721 |
