Interest Groups
Garden Angels work outdoors every Tuesday morning as weather permits. They care for the flower beds and the Courtyard garden. This group also sponsors a wonderful garden booth at the Fish Fry. Contact person is Georgeann McCoy.
Book Club meets every fourth Wednesday to discuss a book they have read and enjoy great fellowship. Contact Angie Elmore for more information.
JOY Club (adults over 60) meets monthly for an outing – usually on the third Thursday of the month. They try out new restaurants, see plays, go shopping, visit historic sites or whatever sounds like fun. Jean Rippy is the contact person.
The Lunch Bunch is a group of ladies that meet on the first Wednesday of the month at Brick’s Café for food and conversation. Betty Ray is the contact person.
Men’s softball team plays on Thursday evening in the Spring and Summer. They play on the fields in Fieldstone Farms. Contact person is Ed Costner.
Men’s basketball scrimmage meets almost every Sunday night at 6:30 for a fun time. There are a variety of ages and skill levels. Just show up and play.
Musical ensembles make great small groups. Contact Harry Robinson, Bethlehem’s music director to learn more about the bluegrass band, handbell choir, women’s ensemble, chancel choir, praise bands or to assist with children or youth choirs and handbells.
Bible Studies explore God’s Word in an atmosphere of mutual support

Monday Night Women meet at 6:30 in CLC-205. This fall they will be studying Becoming a Woman of Simplicity by Cynthia Heald and The Stuck study by Jennie Allen. Rebecca Little is the contact person.
Tuesday morning Men meet at Chick-Fil-A in Cool Springs at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast, Bible and biscuits. Contact Brian Zimmerman.
Tuesday afternoon women’s study is taught by Pastor Ryan Bennett. They study a book of the Bible and meet at 1:15. Contact person is Emogene Hyde. They begin on the Tuesday after Labor Day and end in early May.
Prayer Team will begin meeting on August 21. It is led by Velma Bradley and they are studying Live a Praying Life by Jennifer Kennedy Dean.
Ruth Circle, United Methodist Women meet at noon on the second Thursday of the month for lunch, fellowship and study. Janice Pyron is the contact person.
Linked, a group for young single or married persons is forming now. It will be facilitated by Candice and Cody Taylor.
Our four Discipleship Teams (Connect, Receive, Grow and Reach) lead the congregation in connecting with our community, receiving visitors and new members, growing as Christians and reaching out to others. Each group meets about 6-10 times per year and team members form a small group dedicated to loving, learning and leading.
